Situation: Army Contracting Command (ACC), Red Stone Arsenal (RSA) had a requirement to create a team of Sharepoint developers able to maximize organizational processes.  The team would be required to work with the ACC, RSA user base and identify improvements that could be implemented based on user feedback and needs from leadership.  Furthermore, this team would need to be highly dynamic, problem solving, and creative while maintaining the ability to leverage limited development tools to produce highly effective client side web features. 

Action: AVATAR collaborated with the ACC, RSA staff to establish a team of highly motivated and talented personnel that would become instant assets to their respective organizations.  To balance the team dynamics and maximize the return on the limited funding available, AVATAR created a solution comprised of Senior and Junior level developers.  The goal – to leverage a seasoned knowledge base while mentoring the junior coders during production.  AVATAR also introduced and helped to facilitate SharePoint solutions aimed at enhancing previous solutions. Thus, minimizing ACC, RSA downtime while having a positive impact on the workforce. 

Result: The AVATAR team continues to maintain an ongoing positive working partnership with ACC, RSA. The staff works through gated release cycles while coding in a highly agile workflow, allowing for near real time feedback on products before exposed to the entire customer base.  The team drafts, produces, tests and deploys routinely and with great effect to the government workforce.
