The Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) researchers leverage science to optimize human performance, recovery, resilience and injury prevention as well as develop medical planning, logistics, and decision support tools to keep our warfighters healthy and enhance operational readiness.

Naval Medical Research Unit

The Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) operates seven subordinate Naval Medical Research Units that perform biomedical research to meet the needs of the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. Its areas of study include infectious diseases, biodefense, military medicine, battlefield medicine, and bone marrow research.
