AVATAR is a key subcontractor supporting IPTA on the $400M U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC) Combat Capability Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) Enterprise Information Technology Support Services (EITSS) contract. This contract delivers comprehensive IT services to AvMC under the General Services Administration (GSA) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), VETS 2.
Through this engagement, AVATAR provides highly skilled personnel and specialized technical expertise to support the full lifecycle of AvMC’s enterprise IT requirements. Working in close coordination with IPTA and under the direction of the AvMC Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO)/G6, AVATAR personnel directly contribute to mission-critical IT operations supporting AvMC Directorates across the enterprise.
AVATAR’s support spans core capability areas including network and infrastructure support, information management services, cybersecurity operations, application and IT asset management, portfolio and governance support, and tiered service response. These efforts directly enable AvMC’s mission to deliver collaborative, innovative, and cost-effective research, product development, and life-cycle systems engineering solutions for the U.S. Army.
AvMC is a subordinate Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Center under Army Futures Command (AFC) and DEVCOM, headquartered at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, with additional operations at Joint Base Langley–Eustis, Virginia; Corpus Christi, Texas; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California. AVATAR’s distributed support model ensures consistent, high-impact IT services across AvMC’s geographically diverse footprint.
